TAM - Mechanical Aptitude Test

The TAM (Mechanical Aptitude Test) consists of 68 questions with multiple choices and a 30 minutes time limit, and can only be administered online.

The TAM is used to identify people with good abilities of mechanical reasoning and spatial perception. The test measures the ability of a person to understand and implement their knowledge of the physical and mechanical elements in practical situations, or in their work environment.

The TAM is used to assess the following:

Mechanical and electrical aptitudes
Knowledge of physics fundamentals
Spatial visualization
Practical deduction of "how things work »

Who is required to take the TAM?
Those who work in the following industries may be required to take the TAM:

• Engineering
• Automotive Mechanic
• Equipment Operators/Transportation Trades (Truck Driver)
• Automotive and Aircraft Mechanics
• Industrial/Technical Sales Representative
• Installation/Maintenance/Repair
• Skilled Tradesperson (Welder, Electrician , Carpenter)
• Mechanical Trades
